Feelin' The Luv

I'm not sure why, but I've been oddly popular lately. My blog following has grown (probably because I finally fixed my broken Follower gadget. :P), and I've been the surprised, delighted recipient of some very kind comments. I even had my first interview. We hear all the time what a great bunch of supportive bloggers writers are, but stuff like this makes you realize it's true.

Livia blew me away by displaying my blog button.
I didn't even know she'd done it! I just happened to see it when I visited her blog. Thank you, Livia!  :)

And I was recently given the Leibster Blog Award by Katherine Checkley over at The Intrinsic Writer.

Katherine is a real sweetheart. If you don't already follow her blog, you should.
Same goes for Livia. :)

The Liebster Blog rules are as follows:

  1. Answer the giver’s 11 probing questions
  2. Think of 11 questions of your own
  3. Choose 11 worthy bloggers (who have fewer than 200 followers) to interrogate and pay it forward
In the interest of post length, I chose to answer a few select questions:

What’s your favorite flower?

Roses in a vase are lovelygladiolas, toobut the gardenia is my favorite of all.  I love to walk outside when they're in bloom and pick them right off the bush, sniff (repeatedly), then float them in a small bowl of water.

Name five celebrities you’d kill if murder were legal.

Ack. None!
If you mean actors and the villains they played, I prefer to see them get their just deserts on film.

What was your first car?

A red Ford Escort I shared with my mom.

What was your favorite age? Or, the best time in your life?

As a kid, I used to think that would be when I was 'older.' Now I wish I could return to the time of childhood innocence when my worries were few and my responsibilities were fewer.

What parts of your body hurt the most?

At my age, what parts don't? :P

What’s the meanest thing you’ve ever done to someone?

I'll have to take the 5th on that.

Do you regret it?

Absolutely not.

:)

Now I get to announce 11 worthy bloggers to take part in the next round of the Liebster Award!  But first, your questions:

1. Name your favorite vegetable.
2. Paper or plastic?
3. What is the most outrageous thing you've done for a cause?
4. If you had a yacht, what would you name it?
5. Have you ever jumped off anything higher than a diving board?
6. What was your worst job ever?
7. Crunchy peanut butter or smooth?
8. What's the best prank you've ever played on someone?
9. Name your favorite season.
10. What's something your parents used to say over and over?
11. If you got a tattoo, where would you put it and what would it be?

The bloggers are...

anyone else with less than 200 followers who is up for the challenge.

Thanks for visiting.
I tack this on the end of my posts all the time,
but I really mean it. :)

  10. You shouldn't be surprised at all that so many people love your blog! ;-)

When I was younger I worked at a flower shop and my favorite shipment to get each week was the box of gardenias. They always smelled so heavenly. :-)

Ha! It's probably best I don't work with them. No gardenia is safe when I'm around. *pluck* LOL

Oh, yeah. I love roses, too. Hubby has been bringing me red roses since we started dating. Maybe that's one reason our marriage has lasted 17 years. ;)

  14. Congrats on the award! It is well-deserved.

And I love Katherine's blog as well. She really knows her stuff, and is entertaining to boot.

I think one of the reasons we write might be to try and recapture that childhood innocence. Everything was possible, then!
