Awesome Blogfest Coming - Save the Date!

Have you ever interacted with someone for months on the blogosphere, only to discover you hadn't ever bothered to follow them on social media?

I have. And it makes me feel like a total fool.

That was the inspiration for this blogfest. :)

To celebrate the launch of Carrie Butler's new business that opens early next month, I planned a blogfest to run the week of September 23rd. You can pick the day that best suits your schedule. :)

What's the theme?
The name says it all.

Follow Fest is about writers making connections with other writers.
  • This bloghop will run for 5 days.
  • Participants will create and launch a blog post that tells a little about themselves and what they write and lists all their social media follow options in one place.
  • Writers of all kinds are welcome (fiction, nonfiction...).
  • Once Follow Fest begins, you can hop around to as many blogs as you likemeet other writers, find out more about them, and connect with them using the follow options of your choice.
  • There will even be prizes! :D

This fest is not as elaborate as one of Rach's campaigns, but it'll be a great opportunity to widen your circle of friends and build your platform.

For all the details, go to the Follow Fest page on my blog.
You can find it here.

You can follow Follow Fest on Twitter using the hashtag #FollowFest13.

Oh! And consider putting the blog button in your sidebar.
You can link it directly to this post.

  11. I love this idea, and yes this has happened to me often. Mostly in the beginning when I didn't even know you were meant to reciprocate the follows!

  12. An excellent idea!
I've noticed that while some bloggers like to interact via blog posts, others prefer the FB or Twitter connection.
