Book Review - STRENGTH by Carrie Butler

When college student Rena Collins finds herself nose-to-chest with the campus outcast, she’s stunned. Wallace Blake is everything she’s ever wanted in a man—except he can’t touch her. His uncontrollable strength, a so-called gift from his bloodline, makes every interaction dangerous. And with a secret, supernatural war brewing among his kind, there’s no time to work it out. To keep Wallace in her life, Rena will have to risk a whole lot more than her heart. Title: STRENGTH Series: Mark of Nexus - Book 1 Publisher: Sapphire Star Publishing Category: New Adult (NA) Genre: Paranormal Romance (PNR) Release Date: March 07, 2013 Normally, I don’t do book reviews on this blog. But after reading my CPs wonderful debut novel, I couldn’t resist. Sheesh. Where do I start?

Books, Books & More Books

There are so many books being published by friends around the blogosphere, I decided to make a special post to tell you about some of them. Let's start with recently-published.

Worth Repeating

Every once in a while, we come across something that makes our life simpler. Lots of writers swear by writing to music, and so I've been dabbling in it. There's tons of free music on sites like YouTube, but most of it doesn't play long enough to be worth the trouble of the search. I mean, who wants to stop writing every 2 minutes and 47 seconds to click play ? When I lamented this to my tech-savvy writing buddy, Carrie Butler , she directed me to Listenonrepeat.com . To use this site, you simply search for a video by title and click on the one you want. The site automatically loops it for you.   You can also type listenonrepeat into a YouTube URL before the .com to watch/listen on repeat.   Ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YWMLe1soMc would become http://www.listenonrepeat.com/watch?v=2YWMLe1soMc   Isn't that cool! Anyhow, thanks for stopping by. As a bonus, I'm posting one of the songs I listened to while writing my HR, Come Back ... Enjoy

IWSG - Motivation

Happy New Year!  My writing resolution is to finish my current WIP and get it polished (maybe even published?) in 2013. So, for my January Insecure Writer's Support Group post, I decided to list some ways we can motivate ourselves to write.  This is by no means an exhaustive list, and I don’t have room to tell you every detail. My goal is to give you a taste of what’s out there and enough information about each item so you can decide which ones are worth the click-through for you .  If you're already familiar with any of these, please feel free to skip it and move on. (I promise my IWSG posts won't all be this long.) Let’s start with the biggie.
