It's Cover Reveal Day!

I can't believe it! Reveal day is finally here! For over two years, I've been researching and writing my debut novel,   Come Back , and preparing it for publication. I was blessed to meet author and graphic designer Carrie Butler early in my writing journey. Carrie has not only helped me improve as a writer, she's the talent and inspiration behind the novel's cover design. You can find this multi-talented lady at... I know you're anxious to see the cover, so I won't make you wait any longer.

Out of time

The deadline for entering my cover teaser contest has passed. If you just now arrived, sorry you missed it. If you sent me your entry in time, good luck.  I'll announce the winner when I reveal my book's cover on Monday.  :)

This quick post is to let you know that I'm guest-posting at Natasha Hanova's blog today, regarding my promotional paper products experience. The article has pictures, too! I hope you'll pay us a visit, if for nothing more than to laugh at my amateur photography. :P

It's your turn to gloat

I know it's not Monday, but my next two are booked, so I thought I'd throw a little grammar your way on a Wednesday. See this picture?

New Release - Honesty (Mark of Nexus 2.5) by Carrie Butler

Woot! It's release day for Carrie Butler's Honesty , Mark of Nexus 2.5—Cole's story. I had the pleasure of reading an ARC, and I loved every minute of it. I'll still keep a hypodermic of Haldol and a straightjacket stashed within reach whenever Cole's around, but I like him much better now. :P

What Does The Skunk Say?

You know that song about foxes? Well I wondered the same about skunks. I thought they were silent. Not so. My mom just caught skunk #11 in her back yard the other day. Yes, you read that correctly. Eleven skunks. Which is shocking, considering my parents live in the suburbs--the kind of neighborhood where, if you stand in between two houses and stretch your arms out, you can almost touch brick with both hands. It all started several years ago, when they had a shed built behind the house. Skunks eventually took up residence underneath the structure.

IWSG - What Was I Thinking!

This is my Insecure Writers Support Group post for March.   For more information about the group, see the bottom of this post. Alex's awesome co-hosts for March are: MJ Joachim, Elsie, Elizabeth Seckman,   and Julie Flanders! Please stop by their blogs and say thank you. Publishing a debut novel is one heck of a ride. One minute I'm reading Susan Kaye Quinn's Indie Author Survival Guide and feeling like I'm twirling on top of the mountain shown on the cover, and the next, I'm pulling my hair out, trying to understand ISBN barcodes and trim sizes — all the while biting my nails, waiting for the beta feedback to come in.  Gah! I must've been temporarily insane when I took this on!
