Al Diaz, better known as Father Dragon, bestowed upon me The Sweetest Blogger Award. In fact, he nearly made me cry with the kind things he said.
The truth is, Al has left quite an impression on me. I was thrilled to find his blog and surprised to discover that 'Mother Dragon' was his mother and not his wife. Father Dragon exhibits talent and wisdom far beyond that of most young men. If you don't already follow his blog, you are missing out. Truly.
The rules of the Super Sweet Blogging Award are:
Answer the following questions and nominate five bloggers.
Questions:
1. Cookies or Cake?
Cookies, if they're soft and gooey.
Cake, if it's Tres Leches.
2. Chocolate or Vanilla?
Hm... Vanilla.
3. Favorite Sweet Treat?
Pumpkin pie tops the list. Homemade gingerbread and well-made flan tie for second.
4. When do you crave sweet things the most?
In the evenings, after supper, or just about any time I smell coffee brewing.
I'm southern. What can I say. *grin*
5. Sweet nickname?
*shakes head* Not tellin'.

Thanks for stopping by. :)
Melissa, I've nominated you for an award if you wish to accept. Check out my blog at http://cathrinaconstantine.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt may be a while before I can post it, but I will eventually. ;)
Aww, Al was definitely right to nominate you for this award. Now though I wish I hadn't read the post because I am totally craving gooey cookies. :D
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteImagine what it was like for me to write it, and search all those images! :P
Muchos muchos muchos abrazos fuertes!! :D
ReplyDeleteGracias. :)
DeleteAh, thanks, Melissa. You definitely deserve the award--and the image is making me hungry. Dangerous cookies... Mmm...
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Melissa. Lol! Now, you've awoken my sweet tooth, though.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Father Dragon nominated you. It's so fitting :)
@Crystal & Tonya - Thank you both!
DeleteSorry if my post ruined your resolve to eat healthy. :P
Homemade gingerbread and well-made flan...sounds absolutely delicious!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! And great answers :)
ReplyDeleteSarah Allen
(From Sarah, with Joy)
@ Grace - My mom makes the best gingerbread. Yum.
Delete@ Sarah - Thanks! (I thought so. ;)
Congrats Melissa and thank you for passing along the sweetness. (: Now all I need is a spoon and a jar of nutella. :D
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! You and your Nutella. How could I forget?
DeleteAww, thank you so much for passing the sweet blogger award to me!! Congrats, because you deserve it as well. :))
ReplyDeleteYou were a shoo-in. ;)
DeleteThat's an important caveat, about the "well-made" flan. If you're making it from scratch, it can turn out disappointingly eggy. Congrats on your sweet award! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteVery true. I'm surprised, just within my city, how different flan can be from one place to another.
Congrats on the award! I love me some pumpkin pie, too! Thanks for passing the award to me. You're such a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI actually make one and enjoy some early so I can maintain my manners on the actual holiday. hahaha
DeleteTres Leches ... mmmmmmm :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
Thanks!
DeleteYes, mmmmm. Thanks to this post, I broke down and had some today. :P
You are the perfect choice for a sweet award, my friend! :D
ReplyDeleteAww. Thank you. :)
DeleteFather Dragon is a great friend, and you are most deserving of this award! :)
ReplyDeleteYes he is.
DeleteThank you. :)
Congrats on your award.
ReplyDeleteI've never had pumpkin pie.
*gasp* Sacrilege! LOL
DeleteYou really should try it sometime. It's wonderful. ;)
The title of your post should be changed to "Everyone thinks I'm sweet" to accurately reflect the feelings the blogworld has towards you. Congrats, you little sweetie, you.
ReplyDeleteM.L. Swift, Writer
LOL
DeleteThank you, Mike. :)
Ooooooooh so well-deserved. You are definitely a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa,
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet gesture by our friend, Al Diaz. Congrats to you for receiving such a wonderfully sweet award. I'm sure there are several sweet nicknames for you, Melissa :) And well done to those you bestowed the award to.
Take care and with that, I'm outta' here.....
Gary :)
Al is a sweetheart for sure. :)
DeleteCongratulations on the award. It's really nice to feel appreciated by your blogging pals, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling you just may be in the minority with that choice of vanilla over chocolate, but I'm kinda feeling in the mood for strawberry.
Ha - funny you should say that. I almost answered: Strawberry. No, wait. That's not a choice. :P
DeleteActually, I like chocolate. It just depends on which form it comes in. Gooey chocolate syrup over ice cream or a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows - yes. Chunks of chocolate chips that get stuck in my teeth - no. ;)
OO delicious award!! ;) Congrats, Melissa. This is a fun one.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it! I've gained 5 pounds just posting this.
DeleteThanks. :)
Melissa... you're killing me... looks... so... good... :)
ReplyDeleteAl is a fab blogger. As are you. I love your posts.
Aw, thanks, Morgan. :)
DeleteCongrats on your award, Father Dragon is very sweet. He was just released from my stockade on Monday, so I don't think he's thinking very kindly about me right now. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI bet not. Good thing you let him go, though, him being a fire-breathing dragon and all. ;)
Come on, Melissa. You can tell us your nickname. We won't tell...lol:)
ReplyDeleteThe names my dad used to call me are too silly.
DeleteMy husband calls me 'Sunshine' sometimes.
There. Are you happy? :P
