Promo Friday - August

It's time for Promo Friday again!

Today, I'm thrilled to announce two awesome books--one by the small-but-feisty Robyn Engle, and the other by Mike Swift's cousin Pam Swift, MD. Congratulations!!!

Robyn Engle (aka Rawknrobyn) released her "memoir-ish novel," Woman on the Verge of Paradise, late last month. It offers "overflowing cupfuls of honesty and scattered pinches of artistic liberty." If you follow Robyn's blog, you know you're in for a treat.

She's 4 feet, 8 inches of heartfelt ferocity, and nothing can stop this post-pubescent spitfire from claiming her fairytale--not jarring tragedy, not penile incompetence, not even the explosive demise of a new marriage. Not until Robyn finds her happily ever after...alone.

You can find it on Amazon.

Some of you may not know that my alter ego has worked as a neonatal nurse for over 20 years. When I heard from my good friend Mike Swift that his cousin had published, I had to tell you about the book. And the moment I read the blurb, I knew I had to read it.

Please join me in congratulating Pam Swift, MD on her debut, Doctor's Orders: One Physician's Journey Back to Self.

Doctor's Orders delivers an intimate, behind-the-scenes glimpse inside the life of a busy Ob/Gyn. Pam Swift, MD, shares her deeply personal and emotional journey as she confronts life-and-death medical emergencies, becomes entangled in the medical-legal system, and ultimately suffers a crisis of career. As the wounded healer, having endured her own "dark night of the soul," Dr. Swift awakens to a universal truth: We create our own reality with the choices we make each and every day. Armed with this new insight, she fights to reclaim wholeness by choosing a life that aligns with her true self.

The book is available on her website and on Amazon.
Reminder! Today is the last day to enter my contest on Alex J Cavanaugh's blog. If you guess correctly which box contains the lizard and leave a comment by midnight, central 'Texas' time tonight, you'll be entered into a drawing for a free e-copy of my new book, Precious Atonement.

Thanks for visiting. :)
Remember: the next Promo Friday is scheduled for September 11th.
Deadline for submitting content is Wednesday, September 9th.

  1. Congratulations to both! I had the honor of reading Robyn's book before it was published and it's really powerful.

  4. Not for me, my TBR is way too long. I had to remove some read books from my Kindle today as it was.
