Promo Friday - March

I've got some goodies for you! :) Author-, designer- and marketer extraordinaire Carrie Butler released Loyalty , the last book in her Mark of Nexus series this past weekend. She also released the boxed set, which is a steal at only $6.99! These award-winning, flawlessly written books have everything--suspense, romance, humor (definitely humor!). If you haven't read MoN, you're missing out. ;)

New Release - Honesty (Mark of Nexus 2.5) by Carrie Butler

Woot! It's release day for Carrie Butler's Honesty , Mark of Nexus 2.5—Cole's story. I had the pleasure of reading an ARC, and I loved every minute of it. I'll still keep a hypodermic of Haldol and a straightjacket stashed within reach whenever Cole's around, but I like him much better now. :P

Cover Reveal - Honesty (Mark of Nexus 2.5) by Carrie Butler

I'm venturing out of my hiatus cave again. This time to (belatedly) mention EJ Wesley's new release and to announce Carrie Butler's newest cover reveal. For the scant few who don't already know (*blush*), EJ published the 5th installment of his Moonsongs novelette series, Vampire's Ball , in late December. Congrats, EJ! Besides the quality writing, I'm partial to the series because it's set in Texas; and I'm partial to book 5 because it takes place in Galveston, a coastal city not far from my Houston home. If you haven't sampled Moonsongs, you're missing out. :) Be sure to visit EJ's blog (he has a tour going on)  and add Vampire's Ball to your Goodreads . Now for the good news from Carrie... Honesty (Mark of Nexus #2.5) Category: New Adult   Genre: Urban Fantasy Book Description: Note: This title is best enjoyed after Strength (Mark of Nexus #1) and Courage (Mark of Nexus #2). Newsflash

I'm still on hiatus, but I said I might pop in for something important. A friend's book release qualifies. And in this case, three! Julie Flanders and Lexa Cain both have new releases this week, and they are hosting a blog hop together to celebrate. Julie's The Ghosts of Aquinnah releases today, and Lexa's Soul Cutter releases tomorrow! You can add ' Ghosts ' to your Goodreads here and Soul Cutter here . There's a giveaway, too, so be sure to check their blogs. Today is also release day for Loni Townsend's debut fantasy, Thanmir War .  Loni is one of my critique partners. Unfortunately, I met her too late in the process to finish Thanmir War , but from what I *have* seen, I can assure you it's worth your time. Loni is a talented writer, and I'm blessed to have her as a CP.   The Earth Clan has declared war and a landscaper is at the dead center of it. Derek thinks his chronic headaches are the worst of his...

Grammar Police Monday - Pure Gold

Before I get started, I have to comment on the drawing.  My daughter is currently taking German. She had to complete a project listing all her family members, including a few details about them (in German, of course). She drew pictures of us, too. You guessed it. This is me...complete with glasses.  As my husband said about his drawing, "I wish I was that skinny." :P So what do you think? Should this become my new Grammar Police avatar?

STRENGTH (Mark of Nexus 1) Re-released!

Holy Mobi files! She's gone indie! Strength , the first book in Carrie Butler's Mark of Nexus series re-releases today.

Cover Reveal - Courage (Mark of Nexus 2) by Carrie Butler

I'm totally beside myself. I can hardly wait for the release of Courag e, the next book in Carrie's Mark of Nexus series! It is soooo good, y'all. Really. (Yes, I've had a sneak peek.) And, phooey. We'll just have to wait. But we do get a yummy little taste today, sort of like opening a Christmas Eve gift to help us spastic, sugar-buzzed, package-shaking kids wait until the big day.  Here's the cover!

STRENGTH Book Tour - The Sound of Success

Have you ever wondered what success sounds like?   If you listen, you can hear it in the joyful reply of a new college graduate shaking hands and getting her degree. Or in the satisfied chuckle of a husband driving home to tell his wife he got the job. You can't miss it in the squeal of a child who finally stacked all the blocks without knocking over the tower. You can also hear it in the voice of an author who , after working countless hours to get her first book written and published , gets to hold it in her hands and read from its pages. Today I'm delighted to post an audio excerpt from Strength , read by the author herself, Miss Carrie Butler.
