I decided to give an update on them for my IWSG post today.  I'm also revealing the cover of my next book. You can skip to that if you want. 😉 Here are the goals for 2024 and my progress (or not): Publish book 4 in my western series by June . Not going to make that deadline. But I will publish it this year, possibly even this summer. Develop a regular social media / newsletter schedule by March & send out 3 to 4 newsletters this year . I'm still working on this. I blog monthly for IWSG and Cowboy Kisses, but I need to do more with Pioneer Hearts Facebook group.  The only newsletter that has gone out is this cover reveal. Our new rescue cat, Poe, has made himself at home under our tree.  Can you find him? Poe has an easy gift idea. This is one of those buy-it-in-your-PJs kind of gifts. Amazon chose  COME BACK  for a month-long December Kindle deal. They cut the price in half!  Now's a good time to buy it for yourself, if you haven't read it, and gift a copy to the romance readers in your life. A kindle book is one of the easiest gifts to give. My favorite genre to both read and write is western historical romance. I enjoy sinking into a book and experiencing life in the 19th century. It's interesting to compare the way common tasks were done back then to modern times.  I also like the traditional values.  The characters are typically hard-working, practical-minded people who aren't preoccupied with frivolous things and don't expect wealth and prosperity to be handed to them.  The hero and heroine often meet under difficult circumstances, but going through those trials together causes them develop solid, lasting feelings for each ot...

Life as a self-published author is often a patience-trying experience. We work hard for months, hammering out thousands of words, polishing them just so, and then waiting on other professionals to complete their contributions to the project so we can get the things we need to launch our book babies into the world. Mostly, we fidget, and fret, and twiddle our thumbs. But sometimes, a whole bunch of things suddenly fall into place all at once. Well, that's the way it went with my upcoming release. If things keep going as they are, the e-book version might be published as early as the end of next week, and the paperback by the end of the month. That being the case, I decided I'd give you a peek at the cover. Carrie Butler has been at it again, and she's done a super job. :)

Looking for something for your TBR? You're kidding us, right, Melissa? Um. *glances at own TBR pile and blushes* Never mind.
